Today, the National Steering Committee of the Global Environment Facility's (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) in Armenia approved seven grant projects within the GEF 6th Operational phase (OP-6). The projects address the following OP-6 strategic initiatives: Community Landscape Conservation, Climate Smart Innovative Agro-ecology, Low Carbon Energy Access Co-benefits, CSO-Government Policy and Planning Dialogue Platforms.

The Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) in Armenia is delighted to announce the launch of its Country Programme Strategy for GEF 6th operational phase (2015-2018). The strategy, the application package and other relevant documents are available at http://www.sgp.am/en/index.
On April 22, the World Earth Day, SunChild NGO presented “The Green Mobility” project at TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.
At the initiative of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), on 19 March an urban cycling marathon took place in Yerevan dedicated to Earth Hour global environmental campaign, with the support of UNDP-GEF Small Grants Programme, SunChild NGO, Federation of Amateur Cycling and Cycle Tourism of Armenia and Velo Club.
On 12 November the opening of Dsegh Nature Visitor Center took place. The center was established by the joint efforts of UNDP/GEF Small Grants Programme, the Rhone Alpes Regional Council in France and SVS BirdLife Switzerland.

Bradley Busetto, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, visited the SGP projects in Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik regions, as part of his field trip.
The Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) in Armenia is pleased to announce a call for civil society organizations to put forward proposals that help SGP undertake a preparatory process to develop its strategy for the GEF 6th Operational Phase (OP) of 2015-2018.
